Trying to catch your favorite team on television but looking for some camaraderie? We have a few sports bars on MDI you can watch the action!

Little Anthony’s
Bar Harbor

Affectionately known by locals as “Little A’s,” this sports bar is located right on Cottage Street as you enter Bar Harbor, about a ten-minute walk from Main Street. It is a favorite hangout of locals for open mic night on Tuesdays–and NFL football on Sundays. The only place in Bar Harbor that consistently gets the NFL Sunday Ticket, at times Little A’s could be the only place in town to watch your team play. It is a friendly place that offers pizza, standard pub food, and of course libations. It is a quintessential small-town sports bar and a great place to watch a game. As it can get quite busy on NFL Sundays, you will want to arrive early to ensure your game gets on one of the TVs.

The Stadium
Bar Harbor

This is a newer establishment that mixes traditional Maine fare with traditional stadium fare you find when you go to a live game. On the Maine side, their clam chowder and lobster rolls are quite popular. On the ballpark side, the North End Sausages and Mac n’ Cheese Hot Dogs are favorites (if you like specialty dogs, this is your place). The Maine and stadium vibes can also be mixed together in the form of Blueberry Ale. They have great drink specials and specialty drinks. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they are open for some of the morning soccer games that are taking place in Europe. For these games, we recommend you arrive early!
Year-round? Only in season (April to October)

Leary’s Landing Irish Pub
Bar Harbor

This is more of an Irish Pub than a sports bar. While they do not get NFL Sunday Ticket, it is a popular place in town to watch certain games. During the NFL playoffs or other big sporting events, Leary’s will often have specials and people will crowd into this intimate location to watch games. If a big game is on regular cable television and you want some friendly folks to watch with, this is the place. They have excellent food that is more inline with a restaurant menu than regular pub food. And, of course, they have great drinks. The eastern-most Irish pub in North America, Leary’s won’t disappoint.

Joey’s Place
Southwest Harbor

Walk inside and you might feel as though you’re suddenly transported to New Jersey. That is only natural because Joey, and his family who helps run the establishment, moved up to Maine from New Jersey a few years back and quickly turned their sports bar into a local hangout spot. It is very clean–and they also own the laundry mat next door. So you can throw a load in while you’re watching the game and have a beer! They have standard pub food, pool tables, and there’s a good chance you’ll run into Joey himself as he is very affable and always happy to strike up a conversation. The flat screen TVs are new and while this is a popular place, there is usually room at the bar to comfortably watch your game.

Pat’s Pizza
Bar Harbor and 14 Other Locations Throughout Maine

Pat’s Pizza started in Orono in the 1930s, but it has also been a staple in Bar Harbor and Ellsworth for many years. It is Maine’s favorite local pizza chain and a great place to watch games in the MDI area. They have NFL Sunday Ticket in the fall and also are one of the top choices to watch international soccer games–but you must check the times of European matches as most Pat’s Pizza locations do not open until 11:00 AM. While this is a popular place, you simply may want to arrive early to make sure you secure a place near the TV showing your game. And yes, they have a full bar.
